När jag läste om Rene Magritte och Frida Khalo så fastnade jag för två citat, ett från vardera. Det fanns två bilder bredvid som jag ville inkludera, där igenom gjorde jag en parafras av målningarna och bearbetade dem genom citaten.

To inspiration, though, must be added imagination, seen as the sphere in which inspiration can work. In Magritte's eyes imagination creates pictures which combine the "familiar figures of the visible" in such a way that they accord with "the interest we naturally show towards the unknown". As a good realist, he did not regard the imagination as in any way synonymous with the imaginary, as the latter has no foundation, and in a sense the negation of reality. In a letter to Scutenaire dated 31 December 1965, he wrote that " this bullshit with the 'imaginary' is different from the imagination. The latter makes possible the appearance of things which are not unimportant: the locomotive, the bicycle, the cigarette, the black sun of melancholy and so on." (s.89)

"Nobody could possibly notice the crash or cry, I thought; there were no tears in me. The collision had thrown us forward and the handrail went through me like a sword through a bull." (s.205)

Idag har jag haft handledning med Bea gällande textarbete och jag har valt att fokusera på att leta upp litteratur och läsa resterande av dagen.
